Lagos Communities Lament Poor Electricity

Dwellers of Lawal Oluomo Crescent in Lagos State groan over the poor electricity supply in their environs.

Some of the dwellers who disclosed that the situation lamented that they had expected the situation to improve with the privatisation of IKEDC but reverse seems to be the case.

The dwellers said IKEDC issue bills for services they don't enjoy and give excuses like the transformer or connection is faulty which is devastating.

According to a business woman, Mrs. Alice Odogbe said ''Inadequate power supply had crippled my business as I have lost many customers''.

''IKEDC should supply electricity that commensurate with the crazy bills we pay''

Areas mostly affected include Paul Okpara, Banjo Street among others bitterly complained over the unending trauma that IKEDC has subjected them to.

Futhermore, a tenant Mr. Odunyemi Oluwaseun, added that areas like Fatade, Oluwa, Peace Estate next to Jamiu Lawal power supply has improved.

''Why is Jamiu Lawal different from the others he said angrily and urged the Federal Government to urgently address the situation promptly.

A cross section of dwellers interviewed from across testify that some of them currently enjoy uninterrupted electricity for long daily contrary to situations in the past when they had to contend with several days, weeks, months without power supply.

It gathered that Jamiu Lawal Oluomo Crescent metropolis had been witnessing irregular power supply
